Strengthen and stretch your body with a blend of Pilates Mat and Gyrokinesis exercises! This class is designed to lengthen and tone all major muscle groups, improve posture, and leave you feeling taller, calmer, and more aligned.

WHAT YOU NEED: a mat (or carpeted floor/beach towel/etc), and a stool or chair

Gyrokinesis Method: Flexible Power (on hold; will resume Spring 2023)
The Gyrokinesis Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method, which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.

The Gyrokinesis Method is practiced on a mat and chair, without equipment. Without the feedback and guidance of equipment, participants in a Gyrokinesis class are more dependent on their own proprioception to explore movement sequences.

Classes can be adapted to fit anyone's ability. By the end of a Gyrokinesis session, one's entire system is awakened and brought into greater balance. Focus on the breath stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, resulting in a sense of calm, well-being and mental clarity.​

In this class you will focus on ending the day releasing tension or tightness through self-care touch and articulation of the spine and joints. You will create a powerful rhythm to oxygenate your body and challenge your muscles. There will be standing, seated and/or floor work.
