Gyrokinesis

The Gyrokinesis Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method, which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.

• The Gyrokinesis Method is practiced on a mat and chair, without equipment. Without the feedback and guidance of equipment, participants in a Gyrokinesis class are more dependent on their own proprioception to explore movement sequences.
• Classes can be adapted to fit anyone's ability. By the end of a Gyrokinesis session, one's entire system is awakened and brought into greater balance. Focus on the breath stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, resulting in a sense of calm, well-being and mental clarity.

WHAT YOU NEED: a mat (or carpeted floor/beach towel/etc), and a stool or chair


Get Quaran-toned

This flowing and articulate class coordinates connected, expansive movement, breath and mental focus, with emphasis on opening the hips, lower back and shoulder girdle in order to create a feeling of space and ease in the body. These morning classes will highlight a different part of the Gyrokinesis system each day to leave you stretched, refreshed and standing tall.
WHAT YOU NEED:  a mat (or carpeted floor/beach towel/etc), and a stool or chair



Abdominal Power
In this class you will focus on creating a strong core through movement as we use articulation of the spine and joints to engage and lengthen the abdominal muscles. There will be standing, seated and/or floor work. Every class is creative and different.
WHAT YOU NEED: a mat (or carpeted floor/beach towel/etc), and a stool or chair



Gyro-lates
Strengthen and stretch your body with a blend of Pilates Mat exercises and Gyrokinesis! This class is designed to lengthen and tone all major muscle groups, improve posture, and leave you feeling taller, calmer, and more aligned.
WHAT YOU NEED: a mat (or carpeted floor/beach towel/etc), and a stool or chair



Gyrokinesis: Flexible Power
In this class you will focus on ending the day releasing tension or tightness through self-care touch and articulation of the spine and joints. You will create a powerful rhythm to oxygenate your body and challenge your muscles. There will be standing, seated and/or floor work.
WHAT YOU NEED: a mat (or carpeted floor/beach towel/etc), and a stool or chair




Self-Care Sunday
Unwind the effects of the week's stress and screen time. Class begins with a quick warmup integrating Pilates and Gyrotonic principles, followed by active stretching and self-massage to melt tension away & energize your body for a new week! 
WHAT YOU NEED:  tennis ball (a lacrosse ball, softball, baseball, or anything similar in size and hardness will work!),mat (or carpeted floor/beach towel/etc) and a theraband, yoga strap, or towel
